The Ancient Heart Friends
The Transmission
You have made your healing a solitary labor, and a solemn one — as if the medicine only counts when it hurts, and only when you carry it alone. We are older than your solemnity. We healed you laughing once before, though you do not remember the water. Joy is not the reward waiting at the end of the healing. Joy is one of the healers. Who have you refused to let near your waters — and what has the refusing cost?
The Shadow Whisper
When this message is being refused, the whisper wears the gravest robes: this is deep work; no one can help me with it; I'll rejoin them when I'm whole. It calls the isolation rigor and the heaviness proof. Hear the heart friends, laughing and exact: if the depth of your work were measured by its grimness, the dolphins would be shallow — and they reached what your solemnity has circled for years, in an afternoon, singing. You are not being thorough down there alone. You are being hidden — and calling the hiding a healing while the healers circle outside the door you locked.
Sit With It
This week, let one in. Choose a person whose company makes your waters lighter, and instead of the report on how you are managing, give them one true sentence from the deep — and then let the visit be joyful: play, walk, cook, laugh, dance in the kitchen. Do not perform recovery; just let the circle form. Afterward, notice — honestly — whether your waters are clearer than solemn effort left them. Say thank you to the heart friends. They have been circling a long time.
