Privacy Policy

The short version

Your readings are yours. Your journal never leaves your device. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to give us — an email address, and optionally your first name — and we use it only to send you what you asked for. No ads, no trackers, no selling of data. Ever.

Your journal stays on your device

Readings you save to the journal are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not transmitted to us, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data (or deleting the app) removes them, which is why the journal offers a download/export button — we recommend using it.

What we collect, and when

If you join our email list, reserve a deck, or ask to be notified about a deck release, we receive the email address (and first name, if given) that you type into that form. We store it securely with our database provider (Supabase) and use it to send the emails you signed up for, via our email provider (Resend). You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or using its unsubscribe link, and we will remove you.

If you purchase a physical deck, payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure pages. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

What we don't do

We run no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no cross-site tracking. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for their marketing. Daily card draws are computed on your device with a locally stored random value — not an identifier we can read.

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage only for the app to function: your journal, your daily-card value, and offline caching so the deck works without a connection. None of it identifies you to us.

Children

Roselight is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about your email address, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Write to us and we will honor it promptly.
