The Council Fire
The Transmission
You have stood at our fire before, and carried your burden home again. What was medicine once you now keep as poison — because it answers when your name is called. Who are you without the weight? Lay it in the flame and find out.
The Shadow Whisper
When this message is being refused, the whisper sounds like devotion: I carry this because I am strong. I carry this because someone must. Heaviness gets mistaken for responsibility; hiding gets mistaken for humility — the quiet mouse in the corner, unwitnessed by choice. So the Elders ask the question the whisper is built to avoid: if the weight left tonight, who would you have to become by morning? The fire is lit. The seats are filled. They are not waiting for the burden — they are waiting for you.
Sit With It
Light one candle or one small fire. Name one burden aloud — just one — and say: "I lay this in the fire, witnessed." Watch the flame take it. Do not take it back on the way home.
