The Signature Frequency
The Transmission
Great Mystery struck one note in the making of you, and has never struck it again. Yet you keep tuning yourself to every voice but the one we gave you. An echo may be praised — only a voice can be answered. Whose frequency are you performing?
The Shadow Whisper
When this message is being refused, you have grown fluent — so fluent in other people's frequencies that your own voice now sounds foreign to you. And you have been reading that foreignness as proof that the true note is wrong, strange, too much. Read it correctly: it is homesickness. The voice you flinch from is the one the ancestors recognize on arrival. The performing voice they wait through, politely, the way elders wait through a speech for the moment the speaker forgets to perform.
Sit With It
Hand on your heart, hum one note aloud. Slide it up and down until it settles somewhere that feels like home — not pretty, home — and hold it for three slow breaths. Then, today, speak one true sentence at that pitch: one you would normally tune for the listener. Say it untuned.
